Since teaming up with award-winning playwright/lyricist Donna Rae Davidson in 1998 (forming Red and Me Productions), Rob has composed nearly one hundred songs. The pair has received commissions from Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre's touring company, Adventure Musical Theatre (MY DOG NEVER SAYS PLEASE, two Northwest tours), and Studio East (CINDY ELLE, produced by ArtsWest). In 2002, Davidson and Jones entered and won the Seattle Fringe Theatre Festival with their musical comedy CLAUDIA KELLY'S 500 HATS, a show that Rob independently produced at the Bathhouse Theatre in 2003. He also entered Ms. Davidson's 1998 Fringe Theatre Festival winner, WOMEN WITH BALLS, in Seattle's 2002 Mae West Fest and produced a run of WOMEN WITH BALLS at the Bathhouse Theatre in Seattle.
Rob currently focuses on THE NORTH ARCADE, a musical revue slated for production in 2007, as part of the Seattle Pike Place Market's Centennial celebration. Based on the craftspeople, musicians, and other characters who frequent the Pike Place Market, THE NORTH ARCADE offers a historical perspective of the nation's oldest, continuously-running open-air farmers' market. The Market Theatre's non-profit organization, Unexpected Productions, wholeheartedly anticipates seeing THE NORTH ARCADE produced in its full brilliance throughout the summer of 2007. < BACK
